Cover of the brief series

An important dimension of successful coordination mechanisms is the value they offer to stakeholders. This includes the potential gains, motivations and incentives for specific actors in working more closely together, and an appreciation of what they bring to the table.

This series of briefs steps into the shoes of different education constituencies to ask, ‘what’s in it for me?’ Each brief aims to generate a better understanding of what can be gained for different groups when they support countries’ education ambitions through coordinated action. The series is part of GPE’s work to mobilize and incentivize education actors, and promote innovative practice, toward system transformation in partner countries.

The series is a companion to the Principles Toward Effective Local Education Groups although the contents can apply to any mechanism or platform where stakeholders gather to coordinate their actions around national education policy and priority reforms.
